The New Patriotic Party which is holding it Constituency Executives Election across the Regions have been characterized with Monetization and Violence.
Is a known fact that, the NPP party is believed to have been borne out of capitalism and therefore places money and materials things above the lives of their members.
The ongoing Constituency Elections would have made some delegates 10,0000ghc and 5000ghc richer as aspirants were competing to pay more than the other.
Those who faced a lot of difficulty to get delegates convinced for some goodies because of abysmal performance though, had to offer each delegates material gift such as Metal Buckets, Phones, 5kg of Rice and Oil, Clothings worth 2000ghc and 3000ghc a classical case of vote buying.
Similar vote buying and monetization of the National Delegates Congress held 5 years ago in Koforidua where Hon.Freddie Blay blew over $11 million on 275 buses.
Those buses bought secured him a win as the National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The NPP clearly believes in moneycracy and their Constituency Elections across the 275 constituencies is not different from what they are noted for.
Their ongoing Election is not characterized with only vote buying but also violence and Chaos.
In Okaikwei South elections, some delegates had threatened to halt processes that would see to the success of the election.To achieve such mission, the delegates massed up on the road, blocked the vehicle of the Electoral Commission (EC) officials from gaining access to the voting grounds. A complete disregard for law and order.
In some instances, we learnt some delegates resorted to pelting stones to prevent the Police from lawfully carrying out their mandate and to subsequently prevent the election from taking place. A glare display of Electoral Chaos and violence with impunity.
In Yendi Constituency Elections for instance, some aspirants have reportedly withdrawn from the Constituency Election simply because they believed that, the register has been compromised to favour some selected few. They therefore describe the election as a sham and don't want to be part of it.
Their Election was indeed earlier suspended following an intervention by the President Nana Akuffo Addo to get the delegates ready for Bawumia to become a flagbearer in the soon to come NPP presidential election.
The NPP as a political entity remains and continues to exist as a terror in Ghana's Political history.The dark day in Ghana's Political administration begun since the inception of the NPP tradition.
Let not forget how the NPP government just after the 2016 election victory vandalized state organization and agencies in order to take take over from the already existing staff/workers.
Today, the outcome of some Constituencies Election was not different from what they are noted for. Our political fortunes shouldn't be at the expense of the lives of the very citizens that bestow power on us.
The world is watching and today's widespread violence epitomizes the breakdown in state security since January 8th, 2017.
This has led to the high level of Corruption under this government because most of them must steal in order to be able to contest in the ongoing party Elections ( Polling station, Constituency, Region and National).
The current crop of NPP Executives must be ready to serve in opposition for decades because H.E John Dramani Mahama and the NDC are the only alternative to rescue this country from the calamity that has befallen on the Generality of Ghanaians.
